CPU效能=秒數÷程式= 指令數÷程式 × 平均週期數÷指令 × 秒數÷週期。

 MIPS ( Million Instruction Per Second )

 EX:
Clock-Rate = 200Mhz
CPI = 4
Performance ? (MIPS)
1. 1÷200M = 5ns
2. 5ns × 4 = 20ns
∴ 1÷20ns = 50 MIPS

 CPU time = Clock cycle time × CPI × IC (Instruction Count)
Clock cycle = 1 ÷ Clock Rate
CPU time = (CPI × IC) ÷ Clock Rate
